Air Brushing

Air brushing refers to the assembly technique in which a photographic image is retouched and smoothed to improve image quality. As air was brushing out long before the advent of digital photography, digital image editing programs like Adobe Photoshop, have made the
use of air brushing easier and more available to amateur photographers .
Although air brushing can be used in different types of photography, which is more commonly used in glamor photography, wedding photography and portraits. For example, when a photographer wants to wash the imperfections of the face of a model (eg, acne or scarring), which will air brush image a smooth appearance.
In special circumstances, all persons or other details of a scene can be cleared, completely altering the original image. For this reason, documentary photographers and photographers alike discouraged and frowned upon the application of air brushing in their respective fields. Similarly, any field of photography in which the integrity of the image is crucial to the photograph that prevent air brushing or any other digital editing technology.
